History
The Beginning: In 2006, Don DeWaay purchased a small broker/dealer located in North Carolina. The company was moved to Clive, Iowa, engaged a name change and opened its doors in September 2006. Although the history of DeWaay Financial Network dates back to January 1993, the landscape and infrastructure of the firm has changed dramatically in the last few years. It is growing to seek and accommodate those registered representatives who are assisting their clients reach their financial objectives. The company’s growing and unique business model, mixed with the talent of its team, is helping the firm grow into a respected and recognized member of the financial services community and important member in the DeWaay Family of Companies.
The DeWaay Family of Companies: Following a prominent position in a major corporation, Don DeWaay recognized there was a better way to do business. The DeWaay Family of Companies began in 1987 when Don DeWaay founded DeWaay Capital Management, a registered investment advisor. His unique business model and strategy, paired with a talented and knowledgeable team, could lead to success for his clients and his company. In an effort to further expand the wealth of services, Don created DeWaay Benefit Administrators which assists corporations in developing the quality and administration of their retirement plans.
Commerce Park: Knowing the company could do more to benefit its clients by expanding in size, DeWaay broke ground for Commerce Park in 2005. Two years later, in 2007, the doors opened to the home office of the DeWaay Family of Companies. Shortly thereafter, it was noted the facility does not operate like most financial firms, as it brings together experts from all areas of the financial industry.
